pupsicles
This past week has been sunny & hot here in Michigan. Last week I saw a recipe for pupsicles on Facebook, so I thought I’d try them for our pack. The first batch I made were a little small, so I tried again in some small plastic cups and it was the perfect size! They lasted about 10 minutes or so with the dogs. I put blueberries, chunks of banana, strawberry & leftover steak then poured chicken broth. Then I added a dog treat as a “stick” and put them in the freezer. I think you could probably put in just about anything that is safe for dogs to eat. The blueberries turned the chicken broth purple, but they didn’t care! It was a great treat on a hot day 🙂

What a GREAT idea!! And clearly the pups think the pupsicles are a great idea roo! 🙂 It’s been hot here too. I think Ill make some for my pups. The treat as the “stick” was a great idea!
The close-up photos are so sweet. I love the one of Murphy showing his Tripawd bandanna, holding his pupsicle with his paw and the pretty little “flower” as a lovely accent 🙂
The focus of each doggy is priceless!
Lots of love!

Donna that is a super great idea. I am sure they enjoyed them a lot. Been hot here too but mine don’t even want to go out to go potty. I had to stand over the top of Snickers so she would go.
I love these pictures

They don’t care that it’s hot – they want to go out! lol Murphy would lay out there for hours if I’d let him, so would Max, but he barks at the wind.

Yum! I saw this on FB, too, but had not managed to execute! Happy pups!

These are great!!! I might have to make some for Jasper Lily! She hates water, hates ice-cubes (in her water) and it’s downright HOT at the beach without AC. She might enjoy these outside, of course, to cool off! 🙂 Looks easy enough too.

They were really easy!

Love this idea Donna! Thanks for sharing recipe and beautiful pictures of your fluffy “members”. I’m going to make these for Riley so he thanks you too!

I saw this on facebook too….I have a feeling I’d go through the trouble of making them, and Kodi and Nitro would ignore them. They’re so spoiled and particular about their treats. But maybe I will try a small batch – I can always feed them to their dad (he can’t taste) 🙂

We are going to have to try those, too. Ollie doesn’t like being left out when we have an ice cream cone, and those Frosty Paws doggie ice cream cups are sure expensive…not nearly so good for him, either.
